MMDA Number Coding along Marcos Highway

We’re still  receiving some inquiries with regards to the “enhanced” traffic volume reduction scheme or more commonly known as Number Coding Scheme along Marcos Highway.

MMDA Number Coding Marcos Highway

MMDA Number Coding Marcos Highway

The road is a long stretch starting from Katipunan all the way to Infanta, Quezon (Also known as Marikina–Infanta Highway or MARILAQUE Highway) and some motorists are are still confused regarding the areas along Marcos Highway covered by the scheme.

Questions like:

Hanggang saan po ba yung coding sa marcos highway?

Pwede po ba mag U-turn sa may Sta.Lucia Marcos Highway coming from Marikina?

Huhulihin po ba kami pag dumaan ng Marcos Highway from Antipolo papuntang San Benildo?

During the first days of implementation, even the MMDA was “confused” as to which point the coding is in effect. They were saying it was in effect until SM City Masinag. But SM City Masinag is already part of Antipolo (Rizal).

So, to assist motorists, below is a map showing the boundary between Metro Manila and Calabarzon (specifically Rizal):

Metro Manila Boundary - Marcos Highway

Metro Manila Boundary – Marcos Highway

As you can see, if you are coming from Santolan / Sta. Lucia, the part of Metro Manila is only before Town and Country.

Metro Manila Boundary - Marcos Highway

Metro Manila Boundary – Marcos Highway

Which means, the portion of Marcos Highway after Town and Country Executive homes going to Antipolo/Cogeo is not covered under the MMDA Number Coding.

Also, please note that Marikina City does not implement the Number Coding scheme.
