As of posting time, Super Typhoon Yolanda has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). PAGASA has released a list of List of municipalities expected to be affected by a 3-hour accumulated rainfall.
As of the November 6, 2013 11:16 PM update, Marikina is only expected to receive 40-60mm of ACCUMULATED rainfall in 3 hours (or 13-20mm of accumulated rainfall per hour).
Compared to Super Typhoon Ondoy, it showered “as much as 90 mm/hr” according to Dr. Mahar Lagmay of Project Noah.
Marikina has suspended classes in All levels on November 8, 2013 due to Typhoon Yolanda.
